Tom (Liam Neeson) has stolen over $9 million in cash during a variety of bank robberies. He calls the FBI and tells them he'll hand over all the money in exchance for a reduced sentence. The two agents who respond to the call turn out to be crooked, and decide to kill Tom and keep the money for themselves. They're interrupted by a senior FBI agent, and when they shoot him, Tom escapes. Having seen them kill one of their own, he knows they're coming for him next. Tom decides to get to them first so his name can be cleared.
