Ashley Juddshley Judd's career is currently white-hot, especially after the success of Someone Like You. In fact, Ashley's in such high demand that one magazine actually faked
an interview with her. She was not amused, and sued. The matter was settled out of court.

Meanwhile, up next for Ashley is a starring role as Batman's archrival Catwoman. But here's the catch. It's not actually a "Batman" movie. Catwoman will get a movie of her own… and Judd has agreed to slither into the outfit that Michelle Pfeiffer made famous in the 1992 hit, Batman Returns. Meanwhile, there are two new "Batman" films in the works. One is a prequel and the other is an animated feature based on the cartoon, Batman Beyond.

Tara Reid  The much-talked about writer's strike had been blamed for a lot of things - but postponing a marriage? Tara Reid, one of the stars of Josie and the Pussycats, postponed her wedding to MTV host Carson Daly so she could jam in some work before Hollywood shut down. Now that it looks like the strike's a no-go, wonder if she'll head down the aisle after all.

Greg Kinnear (Someone Like You), is rumored to be up for the lead in the Bob Crane story. Crane was the charming star of TV's Hogan's Heroes who was brutally murdered in 1978. No one has ever been convicted in the case.

When Harrison Ford announced that he would no longer play Jack Ryan in the big-screen versions of the Tom Clancy novels, one person who stood up and cheered was Clancy himself.
Ben AffleckClancy is apparently so thrilled that Ben Affleck will take over the role, that he's got ideas for at least two more movies featuring a younger Ryan. Meanwhile, Ford will next work with director John Woo in a high-voltage action flick.

Clint Eastwood isn't slowing down either. The next big project for the 70-year-old actor/director will be the psychological thriller Mystic River, based on the novel by Dennis Lehane. The film involves three childhood friends whose relationship ends in the wake of a tragic incident. Their past then comes back to haunt them 25 years later. This project is so new, no casting has yet been announced.

When Bill Cosby starred with Robert Culp in TV's I Spy in the mid-'60s, he became the first black performer to star in a prime time drama. More than three decades later, Hollywood is doing what it usually does, turning an old TV series into a movie. The new version of I Spy will star Eddie Murphy and rising newcomer Owen Wilson. Eddie plays an athlete who is reluctantly made a government agent.

Jamie Lee Curtis, who recently starred alongside Pierce Brosnan in The Tailor Of Panama, says she's just about ready to call it a day for her movie career. Curtis says she was never particularly driven by success, and would rather concentrate on being a mom. These days, Curtis is a successful writer of childrens' books.

Ever since his comeback in Pulp Fiction, Hollywood execs have had their eyes on a project of a different sort for John Travolta - a musical. Of course, a musical is nothing new for Travolta, star of Grease and Saturday Night Fever, but that was almost 25 years ago - and even John himself is a little hesitant. Mind you, he says he'd love to do another musical, but he's not sure he's seen the right script or heard the right soundtrack just yet. Miramax would love John to star in the screen version of the stage hit Chicago. And rumor has it that both Gwyneth Paltrow and Winona Ryder would play death-row prisoners in the film.

On the set of her new movie, Britney Spears can't help but laugh. Unfortunately, she's been doing most of her laughing during her love scenes. Britney has been bursting into giggling fits every time she has to kiss her co-star, whose identity is still a mystery. We can tell you that the movie is called Going On The Road and Britney plays a teenager who takes off on a road trip across America with two pals. The film is shooting in Britney's home state of Louisiana, where scenes have been disrupted by the mini-diva's screaming fans. In other Britney news, we hear that shortly before she moved into her Beverly Hills mansion, she had the place swept for hidden microphones. Apparently boyfriend Justin Timberlake of 'NSYNC lives right next door.

Juliette Binoche  And finally - two Oscar winners could be teaming up for a rather unusual film. Traffic star Benicio Del Toro and Chocolat beauty Juliette Binoche (who previously won for The English Patient) may co-star in a true story about a Renaissance painter (a monk), who falls in love and has an affair….with a deeply religious nun. The film will likely begin shooting this fall in Florence, Italy.
